Course Description:

The Nursing Studies with Midwifery Option is a one- year course for students wishing to train as Nurses both here in Ireland and in the UK. Learners who achieve specific grades during this course can apply for entry to higher education courses in Nursing and other disciplines through the QQI entry system. This qualification is also
recognised for entry to nursing degrees in many UK universities. The programme provides a solid foundation in Nursing theory and practice and allows students
to accurately assess their suitability for a career in nursing. Applications are also invited from mature students wishing to pursue a career in nursing.

Leaving Certificate , QQI Level 4 or equivalent standard of education. All applicants subject to interview and online assessment

€50 Certification Fee. Medical Card holders or those in receipt of a social welfare payment are exempt from this fee

UCAS: Applications can also be made for Nursing degree courses in the UK, Scotland and Northern Ireland.

The programme also aims to provide learners with all the skills necessary to work as healthcare assistants in hospitals, nursing homes, day-care centres, and in-home care
