Part-Time Art and Design Courses Commencing January 26

All courses are offered on a part-time basis and run for 13 weeks, delivered through a blended learning approach that combines online and in-person elements. Applicants will be invited to attend an interview and suitability assessment before being offered a place. This award equips learners with the knowledge, skills, and competence to produce high-quality digital photographic images through both theoretical understanding and practical application. Learners will explore photography as a contemporary medium, master camera functions and settings, and apply digital editing techniques to enhance their work. The programme emphasizes creativity, composition, and professional presentation through portfolio development, while also fostering independent work, time management, and critical evaluation of completed projects.

This course will run every Thursday 9:00am-13:15pm

This award aims to provide learners with the knowledge, skills, and competence to create original animation work by applying the principles and practices of animation drawing. Learners will explore fundamental animation principles, develop a range of drawing skills and techniques, and understand the animation production process. They will learn to express ideas creatively using the visual language of animation, critically evaluate both professional and peer work, and apply animation principles in designing scenes. Additionally, learners will interpret and assess animated films and characters, illustrate movement through drawing, produce materials using basic animation principles, adopt a professional approach to work organisation and production, and ultimately create original, creative solutions to given tasks.

This course will run every Wednesday 11.15am – 3.55pm
