Part-Time Beauty Commencing January 26
All courses are offered on a part-time basis and run for 13 weeks, delivered through a blended learning approach that combines online and in-person elements. Applicants will be invited to attend an interview and suitability assessment before being offered a place. This award is designed to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and competence to work independently in performing figure analysis and body massage treatments. Learners will understand consultation methods, figure diagnosis, and the impact of medical history, lifestyle, and posture on treatment. They will study body types, muscle groups, and the principles, history, and techniques of massage, including Swedish body massage and the five classical movements. The program emphasizes identifying indications and contraindications, understanding the physiological and psychological benefits of massage, and applying good hygiene, client care, and professionalism. Learners will also conduct detailed figure analyses, assess muscle tone, and create tailored treatment and aftercare plans, including homecare, dietary advice, and product recommendations.

This award aims to equip learners with the knowledge, skills, and competence to provide reflexology treatments that promote relaxation, relieve stress, and enhance overall health and wellbeing under appropriate supervision. Learners will gain an understanding of the history, principles, and therapeutic benefits of reflexology, including the concept of reflex zones in the feet and hands, holistic approaches, and integral biology. They will develop professionalism in client consultation and care, learn to identify contraindications and foot or hand conditions, and apply correct treatment techniques tailored to different client needs. The program also covers evaluation of treatments, aftercare advice, referral procedures, equipment selection, anatomy of the feet and lower legs, and adherence to health and safety standards.
