Certificate In Child Nursing

Course Description:
As a Children’s Nurse, your role can range from caring for a newborn with health complications to treating a teenager with a sports-related injury. This course will guide you through the journey of a child’s development into adulthood, highlighting the physical and emotional challenges posed by illness and accidents along the way.
Because children often struggle to express the intensity or nature of their pain, you’ll develop strong communication skills to understand their behaviour and respond appropriately. You’ll also learn how to effectively engage with families, including parents and carers, to provide holistic support.
Children’s Nursing takes place in a variety of environments—from hospitals and clinics to day care centres and family homes. Throughout the course, you’ll explore how multidisciplinary teams—including doctors, play specialists, healthcare assistants, psychologists, and social workers—collaborate to support children’s health and well-being.
